Behind the Design: Crazy Dog Strength, passion, and a little bit of chaos.

Behind the Design: Crazy Dog Strength, passion, and a little bit of chaos.

An active life indicates an active mind, so most athletes are familiar with the experience of being multi-faceted. It’s certainly true for Rebel With a Kickstand’s founder, Liz Tremain. Liz was already a lawyer, mother, wife, and experienced triathlete when she picked up the pen and started “doodling,” as she calls it. The more she put pen to paper, the more she realized her artwork could have a greater purpose.

Flash forward, and Liz’s designs now comprise the signature look of Rebel’s high-end activewear. In a world full of blues, blacks, and grays, her artwork stands out and inspires its wearer to feel powerful, and maybe even flaunt a bit!

Oh, here's a cool little secret:

Liz didn't design these models herself; they're the work of an artist she's particularly fond of and friendly with. Liz was so impressed by his talent that she couldn't resist incorporating his work into her triathlon clothing line! It's all about celebrating amazing artistry and friendship :)

Endurance-ready

He’s tough, strong, a hard worker, and sure, he’s going to sweat a little (or a lot) to achieve his goal, but it’s the fast life he’s chosen! Certainly, every triathlete can relate to the chaos and passion represented by Crazy Dog.

Take Crazy Dog, a bulldog doodle featured on our cashmere sweater, tri-suit, and tri-top.

With zany colors, alert eyes, and a pool of slobber, Crazy Dog represents the unlimited drive of triathletes, daring to work towards what others might see as impossible.

Endurance-ready

Rebel With a Kickstand’s mission is to give female triathletes a greater capacity for self expression, because as triathletes ourselves, we know how much personality is in our community.

Here’s to all the Crazy Dogs out there!
